A 12-year-old boy suffered non-life threatening injuries when he was struck by a motorcycle last weekend. The incident occurred shortly before 5:30 p.m. Saturday, at the intersection of Riddell Road and Alder Street.

According to Orangeville police, the boy was eastbound on Alder Street and entered the intersection on a red light. A southbound Alton man on a motorcycle and the boy subsequently collided.
The boy was taken by ambulance to hospital; the Alton man was unharmed. Damage to both the motorcycle and the boy’s bicycle is listed as “light.”
